ReplyDeleteWhat type of fabric do you recommend for the lining? Also, if you wanted to add an invisible zipper (like the jumpsuits have), at what step would you do that? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAny lining fabric should work fine; I'm partial to bemberg/rayon lining, myself.
DeleteI'd avoid using an invisible zipper, unless you use the newer separating ones. If you really want a zipper, I'd recommend using a black, lightweight separating jacket zipper and installing it on the underside of the front facing (so the stitching is NOT visible on the front of the jacket).

DeleteAnd thank you from me, too! These were two of my questions. The third question I have is what about adding pockets? I thought I saw somewhere about adding pockets. Are instructions available for that?

DeleteRecommended pocket opening guides are on the printed pattern, although you're certainly free to position them however you wish.
The interior pockets are added during the construction of the lining assembly, before it's "married" to the jacket body.
You can incorporate any type of pocket you wish, using whatever technique(s) you wish. I suggest going with welt or double-welt pockets, simply because they're easy.
